Plant City Facts
Plant City is located 24 miles east of Tampa in Hillsborough County and just 10 miles west of Lakeland. Our town offers ready access to all of Florida, including West Coast beaches and major tourist attractions.
While we enjoy the serenity of small-town living, we are close enough to St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Orlando to enjoy the advantages and excitement of larger metropolitan areas.
The Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce is at 106 North Evers Street in Historic downtown Plant City, Florida. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Tourist Information Center is at 1702 North Park Road, just south of I-4, Exit 22. The center is operated by volunteers 364 days a year, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closing only for Christmas. (813) 754-7045
The Union Station Welcome Center (the "Depot") is at 102 North Palmer Street in Historic Downtown Plant City and houses a mini railroad museum. The Welcome Center, operated by volunteers, is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with extended hours for special downtown events. (813) 719-6989
